Jose Cevallos

Jose is originally from Lima, Peru, but over time, he moved to New York, where he studied civil engineering at Manhattan College. He later became interested in the sciences at Drew University in New Jersey through neurodegenerative research. Jose is very interested in neuroscience as a whole and looks forward to continuing to do amazing science. A fun fact about Jose is that in his earlier years he used to have 22 cats and a pet Monkey.

Hannah Jia Hsing Smith (they/them)

Hannah is broadly interested in motivation, memory, and addiction. They joined Rutgers after completing a B.S. in Neural Science at NYU and a research year at SUNY Downstate, where they studied the cellular and circuit-level mechanisms of hippocampal LTP. Outside of lab, they love traveling and attending hot yoga classes.
